Project Description
Project Reflection
What was the greatest challenge you faced in this project and what did you do to overcome that challenge? During the course of creating our very first podcast we came across several issues, to start I have never been a fan of recording or listening to my voice. Also, I don't have too much knowledge on the editing software. Taking off with this project was at first intimidating going out into the community for interviews and podcast content. I believe that our podcast could have been better and refined if we worked with the software for longer. In all honesty, I find a podcast to be dry and it was hard to find motivation. If the podcast was on a more engaging subject I think students would thrive with it more.
Reviewing my project there is a couple of corks and features I would change, for instance, choose a topic that I can connect with and then write a solid script so it flowed better over the microphone. I wish we could have added a comedic side to it, in order to really bring the audience in. Also, It would have helped out tremendously if more than one group member could have worked on the editing because out of three we were all dependent on one computer. If these changes that I addressed would have been applied I would have been more influenced to creating a more beautiful final product.
Throughout this process of creating a podcast, I found helpful insights that are relevant and will further benefit me in school projects and outside of school social skills. One big thing I took away from this project was since I live in a local economy I should always try to shop local because it will end up back into the community and have positive effects overall.
I can not say I'm necessarily proud of our podcast, I'm proud of the fact that we accomplished what we did with lack of motivation or enthusiasm. I was not engaged with this subject or the format so pulling through was a relief. My group members persevered through this project.
Analyzing my project, getting a solid grasp was difficult at times and I did not see any specific ways that I grew as an individual. There was little motivation going into this podcast. I grew in persevering through this subject and have gained skills in the social aspects with interviews, got a little new knowledge on the podcast editing software. Being more open-minded would have helped me through this project, a positive attitude can always get you to good places. In conclusion, have more positive insights and mentality towards obstacles ahead
